Paul Osman
Paul is the founder and director of coaching for Osman Tennis through the River Park Leisure Centre in the convenient location of central Winchester.
Like most coaches Paul has been playing from a very early age. He won all of the club championships on offer at Bewdley Tennis Club and was both a junior and senior county player for Hereford and Worcestershire before taking the Osman Tennis enterprise further (much further) afield.
Paul managed and coached at the Club Villacana in southern Spain for one year, and this was probably the beginning of his very socially-oriented approach to teaching tennis!
Over the years of Osman Tennis Paul has employed and trained many coaches who have obtained further coaching qualifications and made careers out of tennis. He holds the LTA Club Coach Award and is a qualified USPTR instructor and Osman Tennis has regularly been singled out by both the local council and the LTA as a provider of excellence to the community it serves.
Chris Hughes
Since graduating from the Stonebridge Tennis Academy, Chris has been working at Osman Tennis for the past 10 years.
With a year off for good behaviour Chris took his coaching experience to Sydney, Australia. Chris worked at Sydney International Tennis Centre, home to the 2000 Olympics with a centre court to match SW19!
Chris fondly remembers stringing Lleyton Hewitt’s rackets during the Sydney International Tennis Open!
Chris is a qualified LTA, CCA and Performance Specialism coach and he presides over Junior Development.
